Pike County Zane Grey Exhibit

Fans of old western novels and films will be happy to hear that the Zane Grey Museum in Pike County has launched a new exhibit, "Zane Grey: An American Storyteller," that will open this Saturday, May 22 at 10:00 am. For more information, see the River Reporter article providing details, or call 570-729-4871.

Zane Grey lived in Lackawaxen from 1905 to 1918 and was one of Pike County's most famous residents. His novels, many of which were made into films, heavily influenced how Americans imagined the West. Though he was criticized by some for creating exaggerated stories and characters, Grey was much loved by his readers and well appreciated by several famous actors who launched their careers in his films.
