Robbery is the taking of another's property by use of force or intimidation and is a very serious and troubling crime. Victims of robbery are often frightened and rattled by the severe invasion of their personal well-being as well as the deprivation of their valuable property. Victims of home invasion have their personal security stripped away and must re-live the fear each day within their own home. Because personal homes lack security cameras and adequate security measures, many suspects get away with the crime.

Not every robbery involves a masked man sneaking into your home at night. There are purse snatchers, street thugs, and random strangers who can quickly and without warning forcefully steal your property. Not everyone can fight back against these brazen criminals and the police are often overwhelmed with crime and undermanned in officers.

The Citizens Voice reports that two local teens are being held in connection with an armed robbery in Wilkes-Barre on Sunday afternoon. One suspect is a juvenile, the other is 18 and being held at Luzerne County Correctional Facility awaiting a preliminary hearing. They are charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, and terroristic threats. The suspects placed a gun to the victim's head and took her money and cell phone inside of her home.
