You need to act immediately to protect your future & freedoms!

Per the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), nearly 10% of Americans older than the age of 12 have tried an illicit drug or abused a medication of some kind.

This could be anything from trying marijuana once, relying heavily on pain relievers, or becoming severely addicted to more harmful drugs—regardless, the statistics reflect a current trend in the United States: illicit drug use is continually increasing.

Due to such statistics as those explained above, law enforcement has made it a priority to investigate and prosecute drug-related activities. While well-intentioned, such efforts are not always properly executed—and they can result in incomplete investigations, rights that are left unprotected, and even unlawful arrests.

For this reason, if you have been brought up on drug-related charges, it is crucial that you contact a hard-hitting lawyer immediately.
Just because you have been arrested, does not mean you will be convicted.

What penalties could you be facing?

The punishments that you face for a drug-related charge will depend entirely on several factors:

  • Type of drug involved in the crime
  • Amount of drug involved in the crime
  • Action involved (ex: possession vs. selling)

To illustrate potential penalties, we will look into crimes related specifically to possession of marijuana.

  • 30 Grams or Less: 30 days in jail and a fine up to $500
  • More Than 30 Grams: Up to 1 year in jail and a fine up to $5000

Said penalties could also be increased for repeat offenders. Individuals who are found to be in possession of more than 30 grams also risk being charged with possession with intent to deliver.
